Best Friends

This is my submission for the "Your Tales Of" event that Namco Bandai themselves are holding. Its a chance to get your art, be it visual, writing, cosplay, whatever, included into a limited ‘Your Tales of’ booklet which will come free with NEO Magazine’s issue 101, on-sale August 9th in the UK. Anyone can do it, and I thought this was the first time I could get a chance to really express my fondness for this series, particularly Tales of Symphonia, so I made sure to do this.

I found out about it incredibly late (its been going on since the end of May), but I had just enough time to create something. I really like the Tales series (hell I even model after one of the artists, Kosuke Fujishima xD), and Symphonia remains one of my favorite games of all time...There was no way I could pass this chance up.

Without saying too much more, I wanted to create something around Lloyd, Genis and Collette. I like drawing pictures that give the feeling of nostalgia, and I think their relationship as childhood friends embodies that nostalgia. I think this is something just about everyone can relate to.
